Privacy Policy

Who we are

Fundyard ([legal entity name], ABN [number]) runs a referral service at fundyard.com.au that matches businesses with lenders. We don't lend money or give financial advice. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Fundyard.

What we collect

When you use our quiz: your answers about your business and finance needs, and your name, email, phone number, business name, residency and best time to call. We also record when you gave consent and how you found us (for example, a link from an advertising campaign).

When you browse our site: information collected automatically by cookies and similar technologies, such as the pages you visit, which quiz questions you reach, the device and browser you use, your approximate location (from your IP address) and the site that referred you. See Cookies, analytics and advertising.

We don't ask for bank logins, identity documents, tax file numbers or your date of birth, and we don't run credit checks.

How we use and share it

We use your information to show you a finance match, email you your results, and pass your details to the lender (or lenders) we believe are best suited to your needs, so they can contact you. Lenders receive your answers and contact details and use them under their own privacy policies. We record what happens with your enquiry, such as whether a loan was approved, so we can report on our service and receive referral fees.

We use browsing information to understand how people use our site, find where the quiz can be improved, measure our marketing and show advertising. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your quiz answers or contact details for advertising.

Emails we send

After you complete the quiz we email your quote number and match, along with information about what happens next. That email may also mention other lenders you might want to research while you wait. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@fundyard.co. Unsubscribing stops our emails; a lender you were matched with may still contact you about your enquiry.

If you leave your email on our coming-soon page, we email you when Fundyard opens, and send you our newsletter (practical finance tips, about once a month) only if you tick the box for it. We keep a record of when you signed up, which page you signed up on and the wording you agreed to, so we can show what you asked for. That email address is the only thing we collect there, and we never share it with lenders. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Our emails tell us whether they were delivered and opened, and which links were clicked. We use this to understand which emails are useful and to decide what to send next, for example a reminder about an enquiry you started. If an email is marked as spam, we stop emailing that address. You can stop open tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email app.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use Google Tag Manager to manage the following services on our site:

We also use Amplitude to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages they view, what they click and how far they get through the quiz. Amplitude can also record how pages are used (mouse movements, clicks and scrolling) so we can find and fix confusing steps. These recordings hide everything you type into forms, and your result page, so they don't show your name, email, phone number or quote number.

Where it's stored, and overseas disclosure

We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information. Lenders we refer you to are based in Australia.

Keeping it secure

Your information is protected with encryption and access controls. Lenders can only see enquiries sent to them. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@fundyard.co. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
